Healthy Recipe
If mornings feel rushed, overnight oats are your new best friend. You stir everything into one jar at night, sleep, and wake up to a creamy, fibre-rich breakfast that’s ready to go.
Ingredients
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- ¾ cup milk of choice (dairy, oat or almond)
- 2 tbsp natural yoghurt
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
- ½ cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 tbsp banana slices, to top
Method
- Add oats, chia, milk, yoghurt and honey to a jar. Stir well.
- Fold in half of the berries, seal, and refrigerate overnight (at least 6 hours).
- In the morning, top with the remaining berries and banana. Add a splash of milk if you like it looser.
Make 3 jars at once for grab-and-go breakfasts through the busiest part of your week.
Simple swaps
Stir in a spoon of peanut butter for extra staying power, swap berries for grated apple and cinnamon in cooler months, or add a scoop of protein powder for a post-workout version.
